Once again everyone is welcome to join one of our Morris Dancing and Music Taster sessions. These have been running every year and whether you want to Dance or play you will be made welcome.
Practice is fun, and you will start to learn on of our adderbury dances. Morris dances are done as a set with numbered positions. Each dance had a tradition usually named after the village or town where it was first danced. Each dance will have a particular type of step for example single or double stepping. The dance will also have moves and a chorus. The Dances are broken down into small parts which are learn't separately and then put together. As a beginner it will not take very long to learn a simple dance and you could be dancing the whole dance in just a few sessions.
You could then be joining the side at one of our dance out sessions and entertaining the public and collecting money for charity at one of our regular pub session danceouts.
